Laryngeal Mask Airway from Ultimate Medical are available in two versions namely, Re-usable Laryngeal Mask Airway and Single Use Laryngeal Mask Airway.
The Reusable Laryngeal Mask Airway from Ultimate Medicals can be autoclaved 50 times for re-use. A 50-use reporting card is provided with these masks in order to assist the correct documentation every time they are used. This Laryngeal Mask Airway from Ultimate Medical do not protect the airways from regurgitation, aspiration and their effects and is contra-indicated in non-fasted patients. The re-usable laryngeal masks are made out of silicone, which facilitates the re-use. These masks should be washed thoroughly with mild detergents after every use and one should not use germicides, disinfectants or chemical agents for cleaning. Before placing these masks in the autoclave, it is essential that they are completely deflated. These re-usable masks should be checked prior to the next use for any damage. They should be inflated to check for any herniation or discolouration of the tube and should be lubricated every time before insertion.
The Single Use Laryngeal Mask Airway is disposable, sterile and latex-free and have a silicone cuff to facilitate smooth insertion.
