A total of four bolus options are available and they come with convenient tactile buttons. These buttons enable diabetic users to operate the pump without any discomfort under their clothing. Adjustment of bolus in increments to 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0 is possible to meet the varying requirements. A backlight is provided and it is useful when there is poor lighting.
Accu-Chek Spirit Insulin Pumps offer the benefit of variable basal rate profiles to suit daily activity demands. A total of five basal rate profiles are available for different needs such as hectic/lazy/normal days. They have a display panel, which is easily readable. These insulin pumps are also suitable for left hander. This is done by rotating the display to 180 degree. These pumps are capable of storing the 30 recent results. They can store results for temporary basal rates, boluses, insulin totals as well as alerts/errors.
