Siltex Australia was established in 1966 as a steriliser-manufacturing company. In 2005, they turned distributors for a European company for a similar line of products. They are today the sole distributors for a line of sterilisers and steriliser accessories that are manufactured tailored to the requirements of multiple industries by the European major. Their range of steriliser accessories includes printer and consumables, trolleys, wire racks, long racks, trays and handles, infection control products, RO filters and ultrasonic cleaners. Printers are optional steriliser accessories that are compatible with Siltex sterilisers, and can print out the data logs of the sterilising cycle performance for review. Printer consumables such as printer ribbons and paper rolls are also available. Trolleys are steriliser accessories that allow easy movement of the sterilising equipment around the clinic when required. They are epoxy-coated with a steel frame and four castor wheels. Wire racks are used to position the instruments with proper spacing in the steriliser chamber. Long racks are used for a similar purpose but with a higher capacity capability. The company offers a range of infection control products as part of their range of steriliser accessories. These include steriliser pouches, chemical indicators, biological indicator vials and green cards for the bowie-dick tests.
