Resmed has over 20 years of experience in supplying sleep medicines. They also offer non-invasive ventilation products for screening, treatment and management of sleep-disordered breathing and other respiratory disorders in hospitals.
Resmed offers VPAP Adapt Ventilation Devices that are pressure support ventilation systems for application in healthcare facilities. These products are designed to provide an optimal treatment to the patients who suffer from central sleep apnea (CPA). Complex and mixed sleep apnea can also be managed with these units. They normalise the breathing of the people who undergo the treatment. In addition, they completely suppress the CSA and Cheyne-Stokes respiration.
VPAP Adapt Ventilation Devices work on adaptive-servo ventilation algorithm, which results in providing various benefits to the user. They can conform to the patients’ ventilatory needs. These units automatically calculate the target ventilation and modify the pressure to attain it. The patient’s own recent average respiratory rate, the instantaneous direction, magnitude and rate of change of the patient’s airflow and a backup respiratory rate of 15 breaths per minute are three factors used by the algorithm to synchronise between the pressure support and the patient’s breathing.
