Matrix Surgical  is an Australian company that specialises in supplying surgical devices and surgical disposables for general, laparoscopic, bariatric and ENT surgeries. The company supplies products such as gastric bands, micro suction tubes, hernia meshes, laparoscopic instruments, laparoscopic disposables, ligation clips, lighting products, telescopes and ultrasonics.

Heliogast HAGA/ HAGE adjustable gastric bands are generally recommended for laparoscopic treatment of obesity. HAGA gastric bands are shape memory bands that help in easy placement and offer superior stability with their double balloon band design. These gastric bands are completely safe for the patient because of their non-traumatic inflatable surface. These gastric bands have low pressure inflatable cuffs that ensure the safety of the device. Gastric bands can be unlocked under laproscopy. Gastric bands are generally recommended for patients suffering from morbid obesity with BMI equal to or greater than 40 kg/m2 as well as bariatric patients who are resistant to medical treatment. Obese people with BMI between 35 and 40 kg/m2 with co-morbidity indications that affect vital or functional prognosis are also recommended to use gastric bands. Gastric bands come with three implantable port configurations including HIS - large port (K-Heliogast), EV1 - medium port (KEV1) and EV3 - 360° port.
