These dental whitening materials are supplied in the form of 3-patient in-office kits containing 38% hydrogen peroxide mixed with thickeners, activators and desensitisers formulated to enhance the whitening process. Hydrogen peroxide mixes with the activators to form a smooth medium viscosity red gel with light and heat absorbing properties that increase temperature and rate of peroxide activation. These dental whitening systems are recommended for use with a standard curing light or heat source employed for dental whitening applications.
