Leica Microsystems Pty Ltd is a provider of light microscopes, stereo microscopes, surgical microscopes, microscopes and confocal microscopes. They also provide the Leica TCS SP5 Spectral broadband Confocals.
Leica TCS SP5 are high speed and high resolution spectral confocals. As the only broadband confocals, they cover the main requirements in confocal and multiphoton imaging, especially with their full range of scan speeds at high resolution. These confocals deliver bright, noise-free images with minimal photodamage at high speed. The system is the platform for the new fixed stage microscope DM6000 CFS for physiological and electrophysiological experiments and for new super resolution fluorescence microscope Leica TCS STED. These confocals come with a conventional scanner, true confocal point-scanning, an extra large field of view (21 mm), 64 Megapixel images (8k x 8k) and beam park data acquisition.
They also provide spot-bleaching FRAP, zoom and pan functions and a slow scan mode. These confocals have up to 5 confocal channels simultaneously and 2-channel SP FLIM (Spectral Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging). These confocals come with Leica Tandem Scanners that combine two technological solutions in one system-a conventional scanning system for morphological imaging, and a resonant scanning system for high speed confocal imaging.
