The Stephans Anaesthetic Machines are closed circuit devices, and they are very simple to operate. These anaesthetic machines consume very less anaesthetic agents and are available at reasonable rates. They are fitted with the Stephans Universal Anaesthetic Vaporiser with two soda lime canisters, unidirectional valves, a reservoir or rebreathing bag, a flush valve (red colour), scavenger valve, breathing hoses and a “Y” Piece.
These anaesthetics machines offered by im3 have circular type of circuits where the vaporiser is placed within the circle in the inspiratory side. In these anaesthetics machines, the animal is made to inhale gas from the reservoir bag, and the inhaled gas flows over the volatile liquid anaesthetic contained within the vaporiser. The gas mixture passes along the inspiratory side of the mask and then flows to the animal’s lungs.
