The cam walker offered by Head to Foot Orthotic has a foot plate, a foam liner and four numbers of straps. The affected foot is placed inside the foam liner and kept over the foot plate at the foremost end ensuring the foot and the heal lay flat over the plate. The foam liner is wound over the leg securely fastening the ankle strap and other straps up to knee level with comfortable tightness restricting the movement of foot inside the CAM walker. The rocker type of sole used in the CAM walker aid the leg move on and does not require any adjustment to the normal walking method.
To prevent bad smell and perspiration the CAM walker is fitted over sock. The CAM walker can be removed when not required by unfastening the straps. The foam used in the walker can be cleaned using mild detergents. Replacement liners are available to substitute the worn-out foam liners.
