Metrodent’s Lab Putty, available from Halas in Australia, is a versatile material used by most dental technicians today; most routinely for the production of duplicate denture moulds. It is supplied as a base material that is easily mixed by hand.
Lab Putty is also becoming a common material used for processing denture repairs. After gluing the parts of the broken denture together, the repair model can be moulded into the denture and placed to set. The putty sets faster than conventional plaster models and once this is complete, the denture can be processed in the regular manner.
