CCD technology is used by the sensors to maximise imaging quality. These intraoral imaging systems use individual sensor calibration technology for each individual sensor. The choice of sensor is determined on the basis of specific patient requirements. Cable breakages are avoided by using sensor cables reinforced with Kevlar. These imaging sensors employ ‘Silicone on Insulation’ technology to prevent degradation of pictures over time. A high-speed data box captures and stores all exposures to the hard drive automatically.
