Emergency Response First Aid in Australia offers home based training to learn first aid application activities. This course is designed in 3 simple steps. People who prefer to take up this course should first call and book for the home training course, second step is to learn theory online or through workbooks, and finally organise a training schedule to run at home including assessment for 7 days.
Topics included in this program are resuscitation techniques, attach and operate an AED-Defibrillation, administer oxygen, operate suction equipment and restore and maintain equipment. Under this course principles of first aid, working with the ambulance, infection control, resuscitation (DRABCD), choking, advanced oxygen resuscitation, chronic airway limitation and oropharyngeal airways are all dealt. The first aid content involves D.R.A.B.C.D, CPR, (A.E.D) defibrillation, secondary assessment, choking, first aid kits, bleeding control and shock, burns, fractures, sprains, bites, stings, anaphylaxis, epi pens and allergic reactions.
The workshop needs 6 hours including testing time to complete the task. Emergency Response First Aid offers courses that are nationally accredited and are work approved. The student must have attained 15 years of age to grasp the maximum.
