The Epi-Guard is an anchoring device for epidural catheters. The skin side surface comes with a super skin friendly adhesive. It also has a specifically designed foam block to help anchor the catheters. Kinking of the catheter is prevented by the soft foam support block even if patient is lying on it. It comes with a hydrocolloid carrier, which will absorb body fluids or anaesthetic agents that backflow from the needle punctures as local anaesthesia is given prior to insertion.
The Epi-Guard Anchoring Device is easy and fast to apply to the patient's skin and results in a standardised and safe anchoring of the epidural catheter for up to a week.
