Compumedics Limited is a provider of neuro spinal microscopes, ENT microscopes, dental microscopes, ophthalmology microscopes, gynaecology microscopes and co observation systems. They also provide the Siesta for diagnostics in a wireless world.
Siesta Diagnostics Units provide 32 amplified channels for data collection: any physiological signal may be recorder on any channel. They can be differential or referential and have true 16 bit resolution. They have sampling rates of 512 Hz and come with two expansion ports for accessory modules; oximeter, pressure transducers, event button and interface up to 32 additional signals. Dimensions of Siesta are 5.5" x 3" x 1.5" (Length x Width x Height); 142 mm x 80 mm x 40 mm (Length x Width x Height), and they weigh 300 grams (9.6 ounces) with battery. Siesta Diagnostics Units use standard alkaline A cells or rechargeable NiMH battery pack. They provide wireless data transmission and can gather data in all possible ways.
Siesta's Ethernet radio link provides the clinician with testing options and opportunities. Patients are free to move about while data is being monitored. Setting up a testing room takes minutes and the Siesta can be used in PSG/EEG labs. Data on Siesta is recorded directly to the on-board, industry standard compact flash card. Raw data can also be recorded directly to the computer over wireless network link.
