Alcon Laboratories offers PATADAY™ 0.2% (olopatadine hydrochloride), otherwise known as PATANOL® S solution; a new prescription allergy eye drop. It provides twice the concentration of PATANOL® solution and is the first eye drop approved for once-a-day dosing for ocular itching primarily associated with allergic conjunctivitis. After using PATADAY™, the patient must wait ten minutes before inserting their contact lenses.
PATADAY™ 0.2% should not be used by patients with a sensitivity or allergy to its ingredients, by children under age three or to pregnant or nursing women.
