ADInstruments Pty Ltd supplies ML191 Blood FlowMeters which can be utilised to measure blood cell perfusion inside tissue/organ microvasculature. These laser doppler flow meters are the single channel type. They have to be used along with a special fiber optic probe. These units come with two analog outputs, one of which provides the Laser Doppler Flowmetry signal. The other analog output provides a signal linked to percentage backscatter from tissues. The output can be connected directly to a PowerLab.
ML191 Blood FlowMeters can be used for monitoring peripheral circulation and for evaluation of vasoactive drugs on microcirculation. They are also useful to monitor exposed animal tissue microcirculation. ADInstruments Pty Ltd offers a range of pre-calibrated surface as well as invasive fiber optic probes.
