They are also useful to monitor the brachial arterial pressure, which is done by measuring the finger arterial pressure. These systems are connected to a PowerLab and this enables it record, display and analyse brachial arterial pressure as well as beat to beat values of systolic/diastolic/mean blood pressure. This is done with LabChart software. Extraction of arterial pressure parameters is possible using the optional blood pressure module for LabChart.
