AMS Laboratories provides a wide range of testing services such as mycoplasma testing, preservative efficacy testing and AMES testing across Australia. TGO 54 is used to prove the compliance of the environment set for the disinfectants with the factors related to the performance of disinfectants.
The first step of Disinfectant & Sanitizer Tests offered by AMS Laboratories is the preparation of disinfectants. To test these prepared products, users can use either the suspension or carrier format procedures. In suspension format procedure, a specified dilution is vaccinated with specific organisms. After a particular time, the suspension mixture is neutralized with authorized neutralizers which recover the surviving organisms. In carrier formats, a stable carrier is vaccinated with organisms. They are dried and added to products. After a set time period, these carriers are tested for their growth.
Some of the test methods that can be used to test disinfectants are time kill study, TGA tests, hard surface carrier, germicidal spray tests, sporicidal carrier and suspension tests, quantitative mycobacteria carrier, fungicidal tests, simulated in use tests, hand rub and hand wash studies and virucidal studies. Each test has a different procedure according to the product. 100 to 200 ml of sample solution is needed and the tests may take around 2 to 6 weeks depending on the procedures.
